This is my signature massage exclusively for special needs children. I can customize the massage depending on your child's ability to tolerate touch and pressure, as well as ability to remain seated or laying down. I am very flexible with these children, as I have one of my own! I often suggest that if the child has trouble laying still, he or she can lay down where they are safe from falls, maybe their bed, couch or even some blankets. I have even done massage in a swimming pool on a child with autism! I allow for plenty of extra time for your child to become comfortable with me and the situation, and I am willing to make accomodations as needed. Your child can play with a toy, watch a movie, or just relax while getting their massage. Massage can improve sleep, decrease hyperactivity, and decrease tension in rigid muscles, which are things that can help many children with special needs. If you are interested in abdominal cupping therapy to help naturally relieve gastointestinal issues your child may have, call me for details. Parent/Guardian must give permission and be present during any type of massage.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Cupping, or Suction Therapy, uses negative pressure instead of compression work, through the use of suction cups placed on the skin, for amazing results that a variety of bodywork methods provide but within a shorter amount of time and with added simultaneous benefits! These benefits include but are not limited to: increased blood circulation, supplying nutrition to tissue layers, removing toxins and stagnant blood from skin and muscles, accelerating salt secretion, strengthening and toning skin, increased blood flow through muscles, excretion of lactic acids and removal of congestion from attachments, joints and skeletal structures. This traditional treatment has been used for thousands of years around the world and it has value which has been documented through clinical, historical and subjective research. Cupping basically creates a vacuum inside a cup, suctioning the tissue and stretching the underlying layers of it inside the cup. Clients say they feel a deep sense of relaxation and often this feeling continues for days after the treatment. The client must be well-hydrated and continue to drink plenty of fluids after the treatment. Cupping methods I use include: Stationary Cupping, Negative Pressure Massage known as Glide Cupping, Flash Cupping, Facial Cupping, Abdominal Cupping, and Biomagnetic Cupping. I also use fire cups, the fire never goes on the client, it is only used in the cup before it goes on the client to create the vacuum suction. I will discuss this type of treatment with you to determine whether cupping is right for you. If so, I will create a session that is appropriate, often combining other modalities with cupping.

Facial Cupping, also known as Vacuum Suction Massage is a wonderful method that has been used by women in Europe, Asia and Russia for generations. This method uses small cups especially designed for creating the slight vacuum suction on the facial tissue. The effects replicate desired outcomes as those acquired in some of the top aesthetic establishments. Clients often observe improved skin tone, released expression lines as well as relaxed muscles on the face and provides TMJ disorder discomfort relief. Inflammation is decreased and sinus infections are often relieved as well. You'll absolutely love the relaxing feeling of this treatment and it's results!
A facial cupping treatment would need to be scheduled in addition to a regular massage treatment (i.e. in addition to a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage).
